Do you allow visitors?

I welcome visitors. However, it’s not always possible to visit with the puppies.  I am strict as to when I allow others to see and hold puppies based on when they have had their immunizations.  It is my ultimate goal to raise healthy, happy puppies and to do this; I must make sure that no foreign bacteria or deadly virus is carried into their areas before they have their complete immunities! I want you to get your healthy puppy!  I do ask that you call first and make an appointment so I can make sure I have plenty of time to spend answering your questions and making you feel at home. I allow visitors on Saturdays by appointment.

What is the process to get a puppy?

  • Step 1: Fill out Puppy Application

  • Steps 2: Once you have been approved, Lucky Dog will send you a waiting list contract.

  • Step 3: Once the contract is signed and returned, a $200 deposit can be placed through Cash App, Venmo, Cash or by mailing a check to get on our waiting list.

  • Step 4: You are now on the waiting list for your puppy! It will be quiet on my end until the puppies are born. Within a few days of puppies being born I will post on social media.

  • Step 5: Before puppy pick day they will have had their vet visit.

  • Step 6: Puppy balance is due at 6 weeks of age if paying by card. You can pay by CASH at puppy pick up.

  • Step 7: A Puppy cannot leave until it is exactly 8 weeks old. You will choose your puppy in the order of your deposit placed; therefore, I will call everyone on the list to pick their puppy in that order. You can pick your puppy from pics on the website, from a scheduled FaceTime or in person.

  • Step 8: Time to enjoy your puppy! It will be a transition for your puppy so if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call or text. I am here for you for the life of this puppy and want you to be successful with your puppy!

  • Step 9: After you pick up your puppy please tag or share pictures with me either via text, Facebook, or Instagram!

What will I need for my new puppy?

This is a list of recommended puppy products and brands that are, in my opinion, are worth having. I hope this will help new families navigate the process of raising a healthy, happy puppy.

  • Food, I'll send home a couple days worth, you'll need to pick up a bag as well

  • I recommend the Nuvet Vitamins, you can order from the link on my website

  • Two bowls

  • Bring an old towel if picking your puppy up in person

  • Chew Toys – Please NO rawhides

  • A small-sized squeaker toy

  • Moisturizing Puppy Shampoo and Conditioner

  • Comb and brush

  • A wire Crate. Be sure to get the divider so the crate can grow with your puppy.

  • A Leash and Collar. I recommend at least an 8″-12″ expandable collar; you will need a lightweight 6′ nylon leash until the puppy gets bigger. Although your puppy may not love the leash, to begin with, it’s a good idea to start early. I do NOT recommend retractable leashes for both puppy’s safety and yours!

  • Harness Distributes the weight of the puppy, so you are not pulling it from the throat with a leash.

  • Potty Bells

Am I required to spay and neuter our puppy?

Yes, it is required to spay or neuter your puppy unless you have been approved and pay the breeders fee.

What’s your return policy if I can no longer keep my puppy?

Occasionally, circumstances change, or a puppy doesn't work out in his or her new home for various reasons. I  recommend that everyone take into consideration the work of a puppy and the lifelong commitment it takes to raise one. However, I also know that situations arise in which case I will help the puppy find a better home. I do not offer refunds past the 3 day mark after the puppy has gone to their new home.

Refunds

After the puppy has left my care, the new family has 72-hours to take the puppy in to see a vet for a physical examination. If the puppy were to be found in ill health with any life-threatening disease, the cause of which I as a breeder were to blame, only then can the puppy be returned for a full refund. Shipping or delivery fees, if any, would not be refunded.
